Northeast Heights

Established neighborhoods, mountain views, top schools

The Sandia foothills looking west over Albuquerque

The Northeast Heights is where much of Albuquerque lives: established neighborhoods built from the 1960s onward, rising from the Interstate up to the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. Streets near Tramway and Academy carry the mountain views the city is known for; closer to the river the lots get older and the trees get bigger.

Buyers come here for schools, parks, trail access at the Elena Gallegos Open Space and the Foothills Trails, and quick drives to shopping along Paseo del Norte, Montgomery and Juan Tabo. Jenn & Vinay’s office sits in the Heights at 4800 Juan Tabo Blvd NE, so this is home turf.

Questions about Northeast Heights

What is the Northeast Heights like to live in?

The Northeast Heights is Albuquerque’s largest residential quadrant: established single-family neighborhoods, good schools, parks, and direct access to the Sandia foothills trails. Homes range from mid-century ranches near the Interstate to custom view homes near Tramway.

Are there homes with Sandia Mountain views in the Northeast Heights?

Yes. Streets in the upper Heights, High Desert, Tanoan and along Tramway Boulevard face the Sandias directly, and the view is a real factor in pricing.
